Welcome to Seloxia and Belladonna, our new players who stopped by and had fun with us this weekend! We are happy to have you here, and if you need any help or have questions, our players and the Server Goddess are ready to help. Take it slow, build, have fun, and learn at your own pace. We have players who want to build fun places to visit, others who want to craft and survive on their own, and others wrapped up in a few RP plots already underway.
The world is your canvas, a huge place to create in, with both what you build and the characters you create. You have so many options that other MMOs should be jealous of what you have here.
Lanyth and Seloxia teamed up for the first time! Seloxia did amazingly well her first day, got into the character customizer and saved changes, and the Enchantress and her Sybarite fought well together, and much was learned. Our Tier'dal faction is growing stronger! This makes three wonderful Dark Elves in our community, and hopefully, more will join us.
Bella had a fun "lost in the desert" adventure with three following her around! There were fights, RP, getting lost, wandering aimlessly, and plenty of learning through the tutorials. Everyone had fun! Mysti was also along for that adventure, even though she had never planned to, and she was hilarious and fun with her magic testing in the field.
That said, Mysti's magic testing was a huge success today, and she learned how you learn spells all the way up to maximum power, and what each one did. If you have an interest in a school of magic, seek out Server Goddess Mysti in the game and in character, and prepare to prove yourself to her that you are worthy of such a blessing.
Mysti will also demonstrate different schools of magic for you, so you may see them in action. If you want her to show you what is possible, ask, and be prepared to prove yourself. This is all about IC stories of growth and power.
Normal sorcery magic is freely available, too, if you know where to look. Mysti's granted magic is in addition to the magic already in the game! Both systems are powerful and fun, and the path is always yours to choose. Again, feel free to do what you want and explore.
And, yes, Zrie, she will, "Stop missing!"
If there was a theme for this weekend's events, it was both in introduction and transformation. New people arrived, and our players helped them along, answering questions and giving them a "soft landing" in a new game, even to go as far as escorting them to the inn and getting them used to what to do to survive. This will still happen, and our Discord is open for questions and help, too.
Another theme was transformation. Never feel you are stuck in one character archetype or role. This game lets you see your characters in a whole new light, often completely changing your view on what your character can be, their role with others, and how they look, fight, and act. You could become a great builder, a cunning warrior, someone who builds a city, one who runs a remote outpost, a powerful sorcerer, a student of a school of high magic, a nobleperson, a crafter of weapons and armor, a farmer or rancher, or any other role you dream of.
Some enjoy going on adventures with others, being a sword for hire, and fighting on dangerous gathering missions or deep cave dives. Always team up with others when you go out, those adventures are so fun and capture that feeling of why you first played MMOs in the first place. Needing each other and working together are so rare to find, and here, everyone loves going on dangerous missions together. If you have a group starting, call it out in the Discord and offer a spot in the party!
Seeing people transform and experience a new side of themselves is a magical thing that happens here, so please try new things and have fun. The RP is also getting amazingly good, so dive in, meet people, and start a few stories for yourself. Play someone lost from EQ2, or play someone from the Conan world. And you can play a mix of the two, with Dark Elves worshipping Conan gods, or those from the savage world trying to restore ancient faiths from the lost world. Roleplay, dive into your character, and dream of what is possible.
